My guess is that all parents compare their kids even though they don't want to. I think the comparing thing is even more, shall we say, pronouced with twins. Other people start early trying to attach a label to each twin - it definitely was that way for us. At the beginning Ali was the screamer and Jason was the sleeper. Just when everyone started telling us what a hard time Ali was going to give us, she stopped screaming, started smiling and basically hasn't stopped since. Jason, on the other hand, took his turn as the screamer later on. It seems like every time you start to think you've got them figured out, they pull a fast one. Jason has long been the artist of our pair, spending hours and hours at the art table, illustrating books and making posters. Ali is the reader of the pair, stopping to read when it's time to play soccer, or softball, or webkinz - but most definitely she's the reader.
So you'll see below that Ali had her art work displayed in an art show this weekend. It's an amazing piece that can't be captured completely on film. Go figure. Next I'll be writing to you about Jason's t-ball...... I think their motto is "A and J. Keeping our parents on their toes."
(edited to add: pictures won't upload right now. I'll be back to work on this soon!)

it's funny that you mention when they were babies - i was just telling denise last week about the time i stayed overnight to watch ali, so you could get some sleep. and instead, jason got sick and kept you up, and ali slept the whole night through.
they kept everyone on their toes, even then.
Ali, Your art work is magnificent! We love it! Congratulations! Love, Mimi and Pops xxoo
Maybe, because they are twins, you are getting them confused with one another. Perhaps they are switching their clothes and hairstyles like they do in the movies and nobody notices. Boy, they sure fooled you guys.
